It is a real challenge for woman to return back to work once they are disconnected from work. The most common reasons for women who are taking a career break are personal. They get disconnected from their professional life due to pregnancy, childbirth, to take care of children or take care of their family. However, they enter into the different world where they get chance to spend quality time with their family.
The most challenging part of career break is to get the right job. Women returning to their professional life end up picking up different professions, compromise their salaries as well as positions which they deserve.
In India, we see women taking interest into technology and joining IT industry. They are proven as good workforce in renowned organizations.
The Indian economy has grown more than 10 times since 1990, its women workforce participation has fallen from 30% in 1990 to 19% as of 2021, according to World Bank data.
So question remains in mind of every woman, what to do during the career break so that it will help them to go back to work once their personal reasons are sorted out. How can they utilize that time to upskill or re-skill to come back with a CV that shows great learning as well as adds up to their professional experience ?
